The 30-Second Version
The MOVE SPEED HB7450 is a fast Gen4 drive with top-tier sequential speeds and solid endurance. It's best for PS5 and desktop use, not portable setups. At $190 it's competitive but not a clear winner unless the included heatsink and tools matter to you.

Performance
Sequential speeds are the headline here, and they're legit. 7450 MB/s read and 6500 MB/s write put this drive near the top of the Gen4 charts, and our database backs that up with an 88th percentile speed ranking. Real-world game loads and large file transfers will feel snappy. The Maxio MAP1602 controller is a known quantity at this point, and it handles sustained workloads fine. Random performance is more middle of the pack, so if you're hammering it with tons of tiny file operations all day, you'll notice it's not a flagship. But for gaming and general use, it's plenty fast.

vs Competition
Stacked against the Samsung 9100 PRO, the HB7450 holds its own on sequential speeds but gives up ground on random performance and brand polish. The Micron T710 and Crucial T710 are both strong alternatives with similar specs and better name recognition. The Lexar NM1090 PRO is another Gen4 speedster worth a look. Where the MOVE SPEED wins is the complete package: heatsink, screws, screwdriver, and a 5-year warranty. None of the big players make installation quite this turnkey.

Value & Pricing
At $190 USD, this drive sits in a weird spot. You can often find 1TB Gen4 drives from Samsung or WD for similar money, and those come with better brand trust and software support. The CAD 289 price is also not exactly a steal. That said, the included heatsink and tool kit add real convenience value, and the endurance rating is better than many budget drives. If you catch it on sale, it's a solid buy. At full price, it's a tougher sell against the big names.

Докладніше
Overview
The MOVE SPEED HB7450 is a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive aimed squarely at PS5 owners and anyone who wants fast storage without paying flagship prices. It hits 7450 MB/s read and 6500 MB/s write, which puts it in the top tier of Gen4 drives we've tested. TLC NAND, a Maxio MAP1602 controller, and a 640 TBW endurance rating round out the package.
It ships with a heatsink, screws, and even a screwdriver, so you won't be hunting for tools mid-install. The drive scores best for console use, which makes sense given the PS5 focus. It's not the most portable option out there, but for a desktop or console upgrade, it's a serious contender.
Common Questions
Q: Does this drive work with the PS5?
Yes, it meets the PS5's PCIe 4.0 and speed requirements, and the included heatsink helps with cooling inside the console.
Q: Is the heatsink pre-installed?
No, the heatsink comes separately in the box, but installation is straightforward and the package includes screws and a screwdriver.
Q: How does this compare to a Samsung 980 Pro?
Sequential speeds are similar, but the Samsung has better random performance and stronger brand recognition. The MOVE SPEED counters with a lower price and included installation kit.
Who Should Skip This
If you need a drive for a laptop or portable enclosure, look elsewhere. The portability score is one of the worst we've seen, and the heatsink adds bulk. Also skip it if you do heavy random I/O work like video editing or database tasks, where the average random performance will hold you back.
Verdict
If you want a fast, reliable Gen4 drive for your PS5 or desktop and you don't care about brand cachet, the HB7450 delivers. It's fast where it counts, built to last, and comes with everything you need to install it. Just don't expect it to beat the flagship drives in every metric.
