That 3000-nit peak makes specular highlights pop like literal firecrackers. Gaming is a standout too, the 165Hz refresh rate, VRR up to 288, and FreeSync Premium Pro deliver buttery smooth, tear-free sessions. The 2.1.2-channel audio with 60W of power surprised us, it's not Sonos Arc level but has decent low-end thump. About the only real letdown is off-angle viewing, the VA panel washes out quickly if you're not centered, and the reflection handling is just okay despite the anti-glare layer.

The TCL QM8K is the U7's spiritual rival, another Mini-LED QLED with similar brightness but smaller screen sizes and often a slightly cleaner picture. The TCL QM7K has also entered the ring as a strong budget alternative with impressive contrast. On the premium side, the Samsung Neo QLED QN900F brings 8K resolution and superior processing, while the LG OLED evo AI G5 delivers perfect blacks and wide viewing angles, but both cost a fortune for less real estate. This Hisense wins on sheer cinematic scale.

Prices have crept up from the insane $1,519 lows we saw earlier, now starting around $2,090 and climbing to $5,343 across vendors. Even at two grand, this 100-inch monster still undercuts 83-inch OLEDs by thousands. It's no longer the outright steal it was at $1,500, but it remains the best dollar-per-inch value in the giant-screen category. Just shop around and don't pay a cent over $2,100.

If you want a true home theater centerpiece without selling a kidney, this is the one to beat.

If you watch TV from wide angles or have seating off to the sides, skip this and get an OLED like the LG G5. The U7's VA panel loses contrast quickly when you move. And if you don't have a wall or stand big enough for a 100-inch panel, obviously look smaller.
