Performance
What surprised us most is how well this thing multitasks. With 16GB of DDR4, we could keep dozens of Chrome tabs open alongside Slack, Spotify, and a few Office apps without a hiccup. The i7-1355U is a middle-of-the-pack performer in our database, but in real-world use it feels snappy. The 512GB SSD loads apps fast. Just don't push the integrated Iris Xe graphics. It gets hot and loud under any real gaming load, and the battery drains in under two hours. This is a work laptop that can handle some light photo editing, not a gaming machine.

vs Competition
The elephant in the room is the Apple MacBook Air M4. It's in a different league for battery life, build quality, and screen, but it also costs significantly more and lacks a touchscreen. If you're deep in the Apple ecosystem or need all-day unplugged performance, the Air is the obvious choice. On the Windows side, the Lenovo Slim 7 offers a sharper OLED display and better build in a similar price bracket, but you'll often find this HP for less. The HP wins on raw value when it's on sale, but the Lenovo is the better laptop if prices are close.

Value & Pricing
Pricing is all over the place, from $413 to $675 across vendors. At the low end, this is a steal for a touchscreen i7 laptop with 16GB of RAM. At the high end, you're getting into territory where a MacBook Air M1 or a better-built ultrabook starts to make more sense. If you can snag it closer to $450, it's a fantastic deal for a student or office worker. Just don't overpay.
Price History
Подробнее
Overview
The HP 15-fd0127dx is a solid everyday workhorse that punches above its weight for the price. You're getting a 10-core i7, 16GB of RAM, and a responsive touchscreen in a package that feels more premium than the spec sheet suggests. The one thing to know? This is a productivity and media machine, not a gaming rig. Don't let the i7 badge fool you into thinking it'll handle AAA titles. For everything else, it's a smooth operator.
Common Questions
Q: How long does the battery actually last?
Plan on about 4 to 5 hours of real work like browsing, docs, and video calls. HP's fast charge gets you to 50% in 45 minutes, which helps, but this isn't an all-day machine.
Q: Can this laptop run games?
Not really. It'll handle light, older games or cloud streaming, but the integrated graphics and poor cooling mean it gets hot, loud, and choppy with anything demanding. This is not a gaming laptop.
Q: Does it have a touchscreen?
Yes, the 15.6-inch Full HD screen is a touchscreen. It's responsive and works well for tapping, scrolling, and using Windows 11's touch gestures.
Who Should Skip This
If you're looking for a gaming machine or something with all-day battery life, this isn't it. Go get an ASUS TUF with a dedicated GPU for gaming, or a MacBook Air if you need to leave the charger at home. This HP is for desk-bound productivity, not portability or play.
Verdict
The HP 15-fd0127dx is a dependable, fast-enough laptop for students, office workers, and anyone who just needs a big touchscreen and solid multitasking chops. It's not exciting, but it gets the job done without fuss. Buy it if you find it under $500 and don't plan on gaming. At full price, look at a Lenovo Slim 7 or a discounted MacBook Air instead.
