AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-core AM4
The 7nm Zen 3 architecture and 32MB of L3 cache deliver strong PassMark scores, while the unlocked 65W TDP provides efficient multi-threaded performance on the mature AM4 platform. Its lack of integrated graphics keeps the platform cost low, making it a straightforward drop-in upgrade for existing DDR4 systems. This processor is best for budget-conscious PC builders seeking high core counts for productivity workloads and 1080p gaming without needing a new motherboard.

Buyers in Q1 2026 praised the CPU's performance and value for the AM4 platform, but noted concerns about packaging, warranty, and a rare DOA case.
- CPU performance is solid for 1080p gaming and a good upgrade, especially at the price.
- Packaging is minimal (small box in envelope), leading to potential damage like bent pins, though returns were fast.
- Warranty is only one year from seller, not AMD's three years, with possible restocking fees.
- One rare DOA with bent pins, but replacement was quick via New Egg.
