Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 Silver 2025

A storage-obsessed productivity beast with a CPU that won't quit and a GPU that never showed up. Buy it for the 8TB SSD, not for anything graphics-related.

The CPU here is a genuine standout. The Core Ultra 9 285 sits in the 93rd percentile for desktops, which means it's one of the best processors you can get right now. 64GB of DDR5 RAM at the 94th percentile means you can run a dozen Chrome tabs, a VM, and a massive spreadsheet without flinching. The 8TB NVMe SSD is the absolute best we've seen, top of the charts. But the GPU is where this thing falls flat. Integrated Intel UHD graphics at the 35th percentile is mediocre at best. You're not playing modern games or doing serious video rendering on this. The 15.88kg weight also tells you this is a chunky tower, not something you'll be moving around.

Against the Lenovo Legion 90Y6003JUS and HP OMEN GT22-3080, the Dell Tower Plus is a different animal entirely. Those are gaming machines with dedicated GPUs that will run circles around this thing in any graphics workload. The Apple Mac Studio M4 Max is the real competitor here for creative pros, and it has a much better GPU story. The MSI MEG Vision X AI is another option if you want AI features. But none of them offer 8TB of storage out of the box. If you're a data hoarder or work with massive files, the Dell wins on storage alone. For everyone else, look elsewhere.

Here's the thing: this config runs between USD 2,598 and USD 3,399 depending on the vendor. That's a USD 801 spread, which is wild. The best deal we found is on Amazon at the lower end of that range. But even at USD 2,598, you're paying a premium for that 8TB SSD and 64GB of RAM. If you don't need that much storage, you can save a ton by going with the 1TB or 2TB configs. The value proposition only makes sense if you genuinely need massive local storage and serious CPU power for work.

The Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 is a weird one. On paper, it's a productivity monster with a 24-core Core Ultra 9, 64GB of DDR5, and a massive 8TB NVMe SSD. But then Dell pairs all that with integrated Intel UHD graphics, which makes zero sense at this price. This is a workstation for people who need serious CPU and storage muscle, not gamers or creators who need GPU power. The config we're looking at is the top-spec version, and it's built for one thing: chewing through heavy multitasking and data work without breaking a sweat.

If you're looking for a gaming PC or a machine for video editing, this isn't it. The integrated graphics will frustrate you daily. Go get the Lenovo Legion 90Y6003JUS or HP OMEN GT22-3080 instead. If you're a creative pro who needs GPU power, the Apple Mac Studio M4 Max is the better call. This Dell is only for storage-obsessed productivity nerds.

The Dell Tower Plus EBT2250 is a niche product that does one thing extremely well: massive storage and CPU-heavy productivity. If you're a data analyst, researcher, or someone who needs 8TB of local storage and 64GB of RAM, this is a solid buy at the lower end of the price range. But for most people, the integrated graphics are a dealbreaker. You can get a much more balanced machine for the same money. Buy this only if you know exactly why you need 8TB of NVMe storage.
