The 77-inch LG B4 is the value king of OLEDs. You get perfect blacks, a killer 120Hz gaming experience with four HDMI 2.1 ports, and a massive screen for around $1,550. Just know it's not the brightest, so it's best in a darker room.

Gaming is where this TV absolutely sings. A 0.1ms response time and full support for G-Sync and FreeSync put it in the 99th percentile, which is as good as it gets. The four HDMI 2.1 ports mean you can hook up a PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X simultaneously without an HDMI switch. The display scores are top-tier too, thanks to that infinite contrast. The weak spot is peak brightness. The picture quality percentile lands at 36th, dragged down by HDR impact that doesn't hit as hard as QLED or LG's own MLA-equipped OLEDs. It's still beautiful, just not searingly bright.

Stacked against the Sony A95L, the LG B4 gets demolished on brightness and processing, but it's also in a completely different price universe. The Samsung QN900F is an 8K monster with eye-searing brightness, but it can't touch the B4's perfect black levels and costs a fortune. The more realistic fight is with the TCL QM7K and Hisense U7. Those Mini-LED TVs get much brighter and are great for sun-drenched rooms, but they lose on viewing angles, blooming control, and that pixel-level precision OLED is famous for. The B4 is for the dark-room cinephile, not the bright-living-room sports fan.

For around $1,550, a 77-inch OLED is a screaming deal. You're getting 95% of the movie-watching magic of LG's more expensive sets for a lot less cash. The price gap between this and a similarly sized C4 can be hundreds of dollars, and for most people, the B4 is the smarter buy. If you've been waiting for a big-screen OLED to drop into a reasonable price range, this is it.

The LG B4 is the sweet spot in LG's 2024 OLED lineup. You get that gorgeous self-lit pixel contrast, a 120Hz panel, and four full-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports without paying the premium for the brighter C4 or G4 series. For a 77-inch screen, the value here is genuinely hard to beat right now.

It's not the brightest OLED on the block, and the processor is a step down from the flagship models. But if you control the light in your room, or mostly watch at night, the picture is stunning. Deep, inky blacks and vibrant colors make movies and games pop in a way LED TVs just can't match.

Skip this if your TV room is flooded with sunlight. The screen's peak brightness and reflection handling just aren't strong enough to fight a lot of glare. You'd be much happier with a bright Mini-LED like the Hisense U7 or TCL QM7K. Also, if you watch tons of 24/7 news channels with static logos, the risk of OLED burn-in, however small, might not be worth the stress.

Buy this if you want a massive, immersive screen for movies and gaming in a light-controlled room. It's a phenomenal canvas for 4K Blu-rays and next-gen consoles. If your TV faces a wall of windows, or you watch a lot of cable news with static tickers, a bright Mini-LED might be a safer, less burn-in-anxiety-inducing bet. But for pure cinematic impact per dollar, the 77-inch B4 is a knockout.
