The f/1.4 maximum aperture and 17-element optical design with SLD and aspherical glass deliver sharp, corner-to-corner ultrawide views with strong low-light performance. Its weather-sealed, 630g magnesium body and 11-blade diaphragm produce smooth bokeh and durable handling, while a dedicated manual focus lock and lens heater retainer make it purpose-built for astrophotography. This lens is best for astrophotographers and landscape shooters who need a fast, wide prime for capturing night skies and expansive scenes.
