The drawing performance is what surprised us most, and it's a tale of two tablets. The Pro Pen 3 with 8192 pressure levels is a standout, tracking flawlessly with zero perceptible lag in drawing apps. It's the real deal. But the Mediatek G99 processor is a weak spot, landing in the bottom third of our database. You'll feel it when you're doing heavy multi-layer work in Clip Studio or trying to render a complex effect. For sketching and line art, it's smooth. For pushing huge canvases, it chugs a bit. The 8GB of RAM is about average and keeps app switching snappy enough.

The elephant in the room is the base model iPad with an Apple Pencil. For similar money, the iPad gives you a much more powerful chip and a massive app ecosystem, but the drawing feel on glass is slick and clacky compared to the MovinkPad's textured, paper-like surface. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is the premium Android beast with a screen that blows this away, but it costs nearly twice as much. If you want a pure drawing tool and hate the Apple Pencil's hard tip, the Wacom is the more natural choice. For everything else, the iPad is the smarter buy.

Value is tricky because the price is all over the place. We've seen it from $450 to $630 across vendors, and at the low end, it's a solid deal for a dedicated art tablet with a Wacom pen. At $630, you're getting into iPad territory, and that's a much harder sell. If you can snag it closer to $450, it's a fair price for a niche tool. Just don't pay full retail.
