The sound signature is what happens when Sennheiser's audiophile heritage crashes into a consumer headphone. It's balanced but never boring, with a punchy low end that stays tight and controlled. Vocals have a natural, forward presence that makes you want to re-listen to your favorite albums. The ANC is best-in-class, silencing office chatter and plane drone with ease. Call quality is also a standout thanks to those eight beamforming mics, our tests put it near the top of the pack. The weak spot is the fit. The ear cups are plush, but the overall weight and clamping pressure land it squarely in the middle of the pack for long-term comfort, which is a shame given that massive battery life.

Sennheiser didn't just tweak the Momentum 4 and call it a day. The Momentum 5 Adapt feels like a proper leap forward, especially with that HD-600-inspired 42mm driver. The sound is the star here, plain and simple. It's detailed, spacious, and handles everything from delicate acoustic tracks to bass-heavy playlists with real finesse. Throw in Bluetooth 6.0, Auracast support, and a genuinely useful transparency mode, and you've got a feature set that feels current, not just iterative.

Battery life is frankly absurd. 57 hours with ANC turned on means you might charge these twice a month with heavy use. The hybrid adaptive noise cancellation is top-tier, easily hanging with the best from Bose and Sony. Our main gripe? Comfort is just average. At 290 grams with a clamp force that some will find a bit much, they're not the pair you forget you're wearing after hour three. But if pure audio quality is your priority, these are hard to beat.
