The Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition is a far better general-purpose Windows tablet with a vastly superior processor, but it would shatter the first time you dropped it on a loading dock. Pricing is all over the map, with a wild spread from $639 to $16,898 across vendors. The low end is a fair price for a rugged scanner tablet, but the high end is absurd. If you're paying more than $800 for this, you're getting taken for a ride. Shop around and don't get suckered by a bloated listing.
