It's not going to set any records, sitting at the 61st percentile in our CPU rankings, but for Office apps, a million browser tabs, and light photo work, it feels snappy and responsive. The real shock was the GPU performance, or lack thereof. At the 12th percentile, this thing is a potato for anything 3D. Don't even think about gaming. The 16GB of RAM is solidly above average and the 1TB SSD is plenty fast, but the dual M.2 slots are a genuinely great feature for future-proofing your storage.

The obvious competitor is the MSI Prestige 13, which is more compact and reliable but gives up the big, beautiful 16-inch display. If you need any graphical horsepower at all, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 or Lenovo Legion 5i will run circles around this LG, though they're completely different machines. The Apple MacBook Pro 14" is in another league for performance and reliability, but you'll pay a lot more for the privilege. The LG gram Book carves out a niche for the battery-obsessed office worker who never touches a game.
