ViewSonic VS2725-2K 27" Black 2024

The ViewSonic VS2725-2K is a 27-inch QHD monitor that delivers sharp text and excellent contrast for around $140 USD. The VA panel is the standout feature, with deep blacks that make office work a pleasure. It's not a gaming monitor and the speakers are weak, but for the price, it's one of the best productivity monitors you can buy.

The 100Hz refresh rate is a nice step up from the standard 60Hz you usually see at this price, and Adaptive-Sync keeps things smooth if you do some light gaming on the side. The VA panel's contrast is the real star here, with deep blacks that make documents and videos pop. Color accuracy sits around the middle of the pack, so it's fine for office work but not something you'd want for serious photo editing. The built-in speakers are weak and tinny, so plan on using headphones or external speakers.

Compared to the LG UltraGear 27G810A-B or the ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B, the ViewSonic isn't trying to be a gaming monitor. Those competitors offer higher refresh rates and better gaming features, but they also cost significantly more. The Dell S2725QC is a closer match for office use, but it's typically pricier and uses an IPS panel, which some people prefer for wider viewing angles. The Acer Nitro XV272U W2bmiiprx is another budget option, but the ViewSonic's VA panel gives it an edge in contrast. If you want a no-frills QHD monitor for work, the ViewSonic is hard to beat on price.

At around $140 USD, this monitor is an absolute bargain. You're getting a 27-inch QHD panel with a 100Hz refresh rate, which is rare at this price point. The build quality is solid for the money, and the VA panel's contrast is genuinely impressive. If you're looking for a productivity monitor that won't break the bank, this is one of the best values we've seen.

The ViewSonic VS2725-2K is a 27-inch QHD monitor that nails the basics without pretending to be something it's not. You get a sharp 2560x1440 VA panel, a 100Hz refresh rate, and Adaptive-Sync for around $140 USD. That's a lot of screen for the money.

It's aimed squarely at home office and general use, and that's exactly where it shines. The VA panel delivers deep blacks and strong contrast, which makes text and documents look crisp. Don't expect a gaming monster or a color-critical workhorse, but for everyday productivity, this thing is a steal.

If you need a monitor for serious gaming, color-critical work, or want good built-in audio, look elsewhere. The 100Hz refresh rate is fine for casual use, but competitive gamers will want 144Hz or higher. The color accuracy is only average, so photographers and video editors should invest in something with better color coverage. And if you rely on built-in speakers, the tinny audio will drive you nuts.

If you need a sharp, affordable monitor for office work, data entry, or general browsing, the ViewSonic VS2725-2K is an easy recommendation. The 2K resolution and VA panel make text look fantastic, and the 100Hz refresh rate is a nice bonus. Just don't expect much from the built-in speakers or the stand.
