CLX SET TGMSETRTA3702BM Black 2023

Great specs for the price, but reliability is a gamble. Buy it for the Ryzen 7 and 32GB of DDR5, not for peace of mind.

The Ryzen 7 7700X is a strong CPU, and pairing it with 32GB of DDR5 means this thing multitasks like a champ. The RTX 4060 is a solid mid-range card, good for 1080p gaming at high settings and even some 1440p if you're willing to tweak. What surprised us is the storage combo. A 1TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB HDD is a smart split, fast boot times and plenty of room for games. The port selection is also top of the charts, with 11 USB-A ports, USB-C, DisplayPort, and HDMI. You won't run out of places to plug things in.

The CLX SET goes head to head with the Lenovo Legion 90Y6003JUS and the HP OMEN B91WHAA#ABA. The Legion is the safer bet if you want proven reliability and a cleaner upgrade path. The OMEN brings a more polished build and better software support. The CLX wins on raw specs per dollar, especially with that 32GB of DDR5 and the dual storage setup. But if you're nervous about reliability, the Legion is the boring but smart choice. The MSI Aegis ZS2 is also worth a look if you want a more established gaming brand.

At USD 1,800 to USD 2,200, the CLX SET is priced right for what you get. The spread across vendors is real though, and you should shop around. Best Buy tends to have the best deal on this config, so check there first before paying the higher end of that range. For a liquid-cooled Ryzen 7 with 32GB of DDR5 and an RTX 4060, this is a fair price. Just don't expect it to hold up like a more expensive rig.

The CLX SET is a budget gaming rig that gets the important stuff right. You get a Ryzen 7 7700X, 32GB of DDR5, and an RTX 4060 in a liquid-cooled mini-tower for under two grand. That's a solid foundation for 1080p gaming and everyday work. The storage setup is a standout too, with a 1TB NVMe SSD for speed and a 2TB HDD for your game library. Port selection is best-in-class, so you won't be hunting for dongles.

But there's a catch. Our reliability data puts this thing near the bottom of the barrel, and one verified buyer reported severe lag issues. Most owners seem happy, but that reliability score is a red flag we can't ignore.

If you're looking for a rock-solid, no-worries machine that'll last for years without a hiccup, this isn't it. Go get a Lenovo Legion or HP OMEN instead. The CLX SET is for budget buyers who are willing to accept some risk for better specs per dollar.

The CLX SET is a great starter gaming PC if you get a good unit. The specs are solid for the price, the storage setup is smart, and most owners are happy. But that reliability score is a serious concern. If you're willing to roll the dice and have a good return window, this is a lot of machine for the money. If you want peace of mind, spend a bit more on a Legion or OMEN.
