The Sony A95L is the G4's only real rival for pure picture quality, trading blows with its QD-OLED panel that some prefer for color volume. The Sony also has better built-in sound and a cleaner Google TV interface. On the other side, the Samsung QN900F is an 8K monster that gets even brighter, but it can't touch the G4's perfect black levels and viewing angles. If you're not married to OLED, the TCL QM7K gets you 90% of the way there for a fraction of the price, but it lacks the 'wow' factor of the G4's flush mount design.

Pricing is all over the map, with a wild spread from $3,250 to over $109,000 across vendors. The low end is likely a clearance or scam listing, so be careful. For a realistic price, you're looking at the higher end of that range. At that cost, it's a luxury purchase, plain and simple. The value is in the sheer size and flawless picture, but you absolutely need to budget another few hundred bucks for a decent soundbar to complete the experience.
