HP Laptop 15 15 Silver 2025
Огляд
The 30-Second Version
A slow processor in a cheap chassis, disguised by a big SSD and plenty of RAM. Only buy this if you find it for under $500 and your ambitions don't extend beyond email and Netflix.

Факти
Performance
The 1TB SSD is a genuine bright spot, loading Windows and apps quickly and landing in the 70th percentile for storage. But that's where the good news ends. The Intel N100 CPU is a real anchor, sitting in the 6th percentile. It's one of the slowest processors we've tracked in a modern laptop. You can browse the web and stream video, but multitasking with more than a handful of tabs will bring on the stutters. The integrated graphics are equally weak, making this a non-starter for anything beyond Solitaire. The 16GB of RAM is generous for the price, but it's like putting premium tires on a go-kart.

vs Competition
A base model MacBook Air M5 is in a completely different universe of performance and build quality, but it also costs more than double. The real competition is something like a Lenovo ThinkPad X9-14 Gen 1 or an ASUS ExpertBook. Those will cost more but give you a vastly superior processor, a brighter screen, and better battery life in a more portable package. The HP only wins if your budget is an immovable object and you absolutely need 1TB of internal storage right out of the box.

Ціна
Value & Pricing
Pricing is all over the map, ranging from $470 to $650 across different sellers. At the low end, you're getting a lot of RAM and storage for the money, which is the only reason to consider this. At $650, it's a terrible deal. You're firmly in the territory of much faster, better-built laptops with superior screens. If you're set on this model, hunt for the $470 price point and don't pay a cent more.

Overview
The HP Laptop 15 is a classic case of a spec sheet that looks way better than the real-world experience. You see 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for under $500 and think you've found a steal. But that Intel N100 processor is a buzzkill. It's fine for firing up a browser and checking email, but the moment you try to do anything remotely demanding, you'll feel the lag. This is a laptop built for a single, simple mission: basic, everyday tasks on a budget. If that's all you need, it gets the job done. Just don't expect it to be a joy to use.
Common Questions
Q: Can this laptop handle gaming?
No. Not even a little bit. The integrated Intel UHD graphics are among the weakest you can get. Stick to streaming games or very old, 2D indie titles.
Q: Is the screen any good for watching movies?
It's a 1080p screen, which is fine for resolution, but it's dim at 250 nits and the colors are pretty dull. It's passable for casual YouTube, but you won't be wowed.
Q: Is 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD overkill for this processor?
Honestly, yes. The processor will choke long before you can use all that RAM. The big SSD is great for storing files, but the CPU is the bottleneck for everything you actually do.
Who Should Skip This
If you ever plan to do more than one thing at a time, skip this. Students writing papers while doing research in multiple tabs, anyone who edits photos, or anyone who just hates a sluggish computer should look elsewhere. A used business-class laptop like a ThinkPad or a newer Chromebook will feel like a rocket ship compared to this.
Verdict
The HP Laptop 15 is a tough sell. The generous RAM and storage are a smokescreen for a processor that was underpowered two years ago. It's only a viable option if you find it for its absolute lowest price and your daily workload is limited to a few browser tabs, email, and video streaming. For almost anyone else, saving up for a laptop with a better CPU and screen will be a dramatically better experience. This is a purchase you make with your wallet, not your heart.
