Performance
The sound is the star here, landing in the 82nd percentile of our database. That big 15.4mm driver pushes out a wide stage and low end that feels more expensive than it is. But the calls score is a brutal 13 out of 100, and the mic sits at the 12th percentile. If you plan to take phone calls with these, don't. The comfort is decent at the 72nd percentile, but the fit isn't for everyone, and the build quality at the 34th percentile means the metal shell looks nicer than it feels durable.

vs Competition
Against wireless buds like the Nothing Buds 2 or Anker Space A40, the EB2S wins on pure wired sound quality per dollar but loses on every practical feature. No ANC, no Bluetooth, no app, no usable mic. The Soundcore P31i and JLab JBuds Pods ANC both offer noise cancellation and wireless convenience for not much more money. If you want a wired bud purely for music at a desk, the EB2S makes sense. If you want one bud to do everything, look elsewhere.

Value & Pricing
At USD 24 in the US, this is a solid deal if you already own a 4.4mm balanced source. In Europe, prices bounce between EUR 35 and EUR 42 across four listings, so shop around. The best EUR deal we spotted is at the lower end of that spread, and at that price it's a fair buy for a dedicated music bud. Just don't expect it to replace your daily driver for calls or commuting.

Overview
The NICEHCK EB2S is a wired earbud that bets everything on its 15.4mm LCP dynamic driver, and honestly, that bet mostly pays off for the price. You're getting a big, spacious sound with surprisingly rich bass from a metal-shelled bud that costs less than a decent pizza. But this is a 4.4mm balanced-only affair, so if your phone or laptop doesn't have that jack, you're out of luck before you even hit play.
Common Questions
Q: Will these work with my phone?
Only if your phone has a 4.4mm balanced output, which most phones don't. You'll need a balanced DAC dongle or a dedicated audio player with that jack.
Q: Can I use these for phone calls?
Technically yes, but the mic is one of the worst we've seen. Your caller will probably ask you to repeat yourself. Get a different bud if calls matter.
Q: Do they block outside noise?
Passive isolation is okay thanks to the metal shell, but there's no active noise cancelling. Expect to hear your surroundings in noisy places.
Who Should Skip This
If you need a single pair of earbuds for calls, commuting, and music, this isn't it. The mic is nearly useless and the 4.4mm-only plug is a pain. Go grab a Soundcore P31i or Anker Space A40 instead and save yourself the dongle hunt.
Verdict
The NICEHCK EB2S is a niche pick for wired audio fans who have a 4.4mm balanced source and care about sound first. It delivers impressive audio for the price, but the missing 3.5mm compatibility and terrible call quality make it a one-trick pony. Buy it for music, not for life.
