Uperfect UColor 19 19" 2025

A stunning 4K QD-OLED portable monitor with a dirty secret: you can't actually run 4K and 144Hz at the same time. Buy it for the picture, not the refresh rate.

The performance here is a standout, landing in the 96th percentile in our database. The 0.1ms response time is essentially instant, and the 144Hz panel makes fast motion look buttery smooth. The surprise, and it's a big one, is that users report you cannot actually run 4K at 120Hz or 144Hz simultaneously. You have to choose between the full resolution or the high refresh rate. That's a significant limitation for a panel marketed as a 4K 144Hz gaming monitor, and it's the kind of spec sheet asterisk that would annoy anyone who bought it for that specific combo.

The UColor 19 sits in a strange spot. The LG UltraGear 45GX950A-B and ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCDMG are both desktop QD-OLED monitors that will give you the full 4K high-refresh experience, but they're not portable and they cost significantly more. The MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 is a 1440p option that's cheaper and actually hits its refresh rate at full res, but you lose the 4K sharpness. If you need portability and 4K, the Uperfect is basically alone in this category. If you need a true 4K 144Hz gaming monitor, get a desktop panel and accept the size.

At $513 USD, this is a lot of monitor for the money. You're getting a 4K QD-OLED panel in a portable form factor, which is nearly unheard of at this price. The catch is the refresh rate limitation, which means you're not getting the full 4K 144Hz experience the marketing implies. If you can live with that trade-off, the value is excellent. If you can't, you'll feel like you paid for a feature you can't actually use.

The Uperfect UColor 19 is a weird and wonderful thing. It's a 19-inch portable monitor packing a 4K QD-OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, which is the kind of spec sheet you'd expect from a premium desktop display, not something you toss in a backpack. The one thing to know is this: the picture is absolutely stunning for the size and price, but there's a catch with the refresh rate that you need to understand before you buy.

If you're buying this specifically for 4K 144Hz gaming, skip it. The panel can't do both at once, and you'll be disappointed. Get a proper desktop QD-OLED like the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCDMG or the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 instead. If you need a portable monitor with a built-in battery for true on-the-go use, this isn't it either.

The Uperfect UColor 19 is a fantastic portable 4K display with a frustrating asterisk. The picture quality is genuinely top-tier, the build is solid, and the portability is excellent. But the inability to run 4K and high refresh rates simultaneously is a real limitation that undercuts the core gaming pitch. If you want a stunning 4K portable monitor for work and casual gaming at 60Hz, this is a great buy. If you specifically want 4K 144Hz gaming, this isn't the monitor for you.
