MSI PRO MP251 E2 25" Matte Black 2024
The 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time on its 24.5-inch IPS panel deliver smooth, flicker-free motion for everyday tasks. TÜV-certified eye protection and the MSI Eye-Q Check feature set it apart by actively promoting healthier viewing habits during extended use. The 30-Second Version
The MSI PRO MP251 E2 is a 24.5-inch office monitor with a buttery 120Hz refresh rate that makes work feel better. Its best trick is the smooth motion, but don't expect real HDR or a sturdy, adjustable stand. If you can snag it for under $130, it's a killer value for a daily workhorse.

Факты
Performance
That 120Hz refresh rate is the star here, making every mouse movement and scroll feel buttery smooth compared to a standard office display. It's a standout feature at this price, and our database puts its overall performance well above average. The 1ms MPRT response time helps keep motion clear, though you'll notice some ghosting if you're used to a proper gaming monitor. Brightness hits 300 nits, which is solid for an indoor desk setup but won't fight off harsh window glare. The 6-bit+FRC panel tries its best with color, covering 99% sRGB, but it's not going to wow anyone doing serious photo work. And that HDR support? It's there on paper, but the limited brightness means it doesn't really transform the image in any meaningful way.

vs Competition
Stacked against something like the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQL5A or the HP OMEN 27qs G2, the MSI's office-first focus becomes crystal clear. Those are higher-res, faster gaming monitors that will run circles around the MP251 E2 in any game. But they also cost significantly more. The Acer Nitro XV272U offers a similar value play with a higher resolution, making it a better pick if you crave sharper text. Where the MSI wins is in pure simplicity and those eye-care features. It's not trying to be a battle station centerpiece, it's just a really good, smooth daily driver for work.

Value & Pricing
Pricing on this thing is all over the map, with a wild spread from $85 to nearly $9000 across different vendors. Obviously, ignore the crazy high listings. At the lower end, around that $85 to $130 mark, it's a fantastic deal for a 120Hz IPS panel with speakers. It handily beats most basic 60Hz office monitors in day-to-day feel. If you see it creeping above $150, you should start looking at more feature-rich competitors. For the best deal, stick to the major retailers and avoid the third-party price gougers.
Price History
Подробнее
Overview
The MSI PRO MP251 E2 is a straightforward 24.5-inch office monitor that tries to punch above its weight with a 120Hz refresh rate. It's built for spreadsheets and Slack, not late-night gaming sessions, and that's totally fine. The IPS panel keeps colors looking decent from any angle, and MSI threw in some genuinely useful eye-care features that your optometrist would approve of.
But let's be real about what this is. It's a budget-conscious workhorse with built-in speakers that won't shake the room and an HDR badge that's more marketing than magic. If you need a second screen that's easy on the eyes and smoother than your average 60Hz office panel, this one makes a solid case for itself.
Common Questions
Q: Is this monitor good for gaming?
It's okay for casual gaming thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, but it's not a dedicated gaming monitor. It lacks adaptive sync over HDMI and the HDR is too dim to make a real difference, so serious gamers should look elsewhere.
Q: Can I mount this monitor on a monitor arm?
Yes, it has a standard VESA 100x100mm mount on the back. The included stand is tilt-only, so an arm is a great way to get better height and angle adjustments.
Q: Does the USB-C port support video and charging?
This model doesn't have a USB-C port. Your video connections are limited to one HDMI and one DisplayPort, so you'll need an adapter if your laptop only has USB-C out.
Who Should Skip This
If you need a high-brightness screen for a sun-drenched room or do any color grading for print or video, this isn't your monitor. The 300-nit peak brightness and 6-bit+FRC color are simply not up to that task. Creative pros should save up for a factory-calibrated panel with true 8-bit or 10-bit color instead.
Verdict
This monitor is for the office worker, the student, or the remote warrior who scrolls through long documents all day and wants that 120Hz fluidity without paying a gaming tax. It's a straightforward upgrade from any old 60Hz panel. You're not buying it for HDR cinema or color-critical design work, and that's the point. It nails the basics with a smooth refresh rate and a gentle-on-the-eyes image, and sometimes that's all you really need.
