ASUS ROG Zephyrus 14" GA403UM-G14.R9HX4 Platinum White 2025

The 30-Second Version
A stunning OLED ultraportable that games well, as long as you don't expect desktop-class GPU muscle. Buy it for the screen and the portability, not for raw 3K gaming power.

Факти
Performance
The Ryzen 9 270 and RTX 5060 combo is solid, but the real story is that 3K display. It's stunning, one of the best screens we've seen in this class, but it's also a lot of pixels for an 8GB GPU to push. Owners report the GPU getting overwhelmed in demanding titles at native resolution. DLSS 4 helps, but you'll be leaning on it more than you'd like. The 16GB of LPDDR5X is fine for gaming and schoolwork, though it's soldered, so what you buy is what you get forever.

vs Competition
Against the Apple MacBook Pro M4 Max, the G14 wins on gaming flexibility and weight, but loses badly on sustained performance and build polish. The HP OMEN Transcend 14 is the closest direct rival, similar size and OLED, but the G14's display is brighter and its chassis feels more premium. The Lenovo ThinkPad P14s is a different animal entirely, workstation first, gaming second. If you want a do-everything portable that can game, the G14 is the pick. If you want raw GPU power, look at a 15 or 16-inch machine instead.

Value & Pricing
Pricing is all over the place right now, from USD 1,400 to USD 2,130 depending on where you look. At the low end, this is a compelling buy. At the high end, you're paying MacBook Pro money for a machine with half the RAM and a GPU that can't fully exploit its own display. Shop around. The Best Buy listing is where you'll find the better deal.
Докладніше
Overview
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is that rare gaming laptop that doesn't scream "gamer" in a coffee shop. It's a 14-inch, 1.5kg aluminum slab with a gorgeous 3K OLED panel and enough horsepower to chew through modern titles. The one thing to know? This is a portability-first machine, and that shapes everything else about it.
Common Questions
Q: Can this run modern games at the native 3K resolution?
Yes, but not always smoothly. The RTX 5060 with 8GB VRAM is a solid 1080p and 1440p card, but 3K is a stretch in demanding titles. You'll want DLSS 4 enabled for anything heavy. For esports and older games, native 3K is fine.
Q: Is the RAM upgradeable?
No. The 16GB of LPDDR5X is soldered to the board. What you buy is what you're stuck with, so if you think you'll need 32GB down the road, look elsewhere or buy a config with more RAM from the start.
Q: How's the battery life for non-gaming use?
Surprisingly good for a gaming laptop. The 73Wh battery paired with the ability to disable the discrete GPU means you can get through a full school or work day on light tasks. Just don't expect that while gaming unplugged.
Who Should Skip This
If you're chasing maximum frame rates at native resolution, skip this. The 8GB RTX 5060 simply can't feed that 3K panel in demanding games without DLSS crutches. Go get a 15 or 16-inch laptop with an RTX 5070 Ti or 5080 instead. Also skip if you need a touchscreen or upgradeable RAM, neither is happening here.
Verdict
The Zephyrus G14 is a fantastic portable gaming laptop with a screen that'll ruin other displays for you. Just know what you're signing up for: this is a 14-inch ultraportable that games, not a desktop replacement. If you're okay with DLSS doing some heavy lifting and you value portability over maximum frame rates, buy it. If you want to run everything at native 3K with settings maxed, this isn't the machine for you.
