As provas
Performance
The Core Ultra 7 165H surprised us. It lands in the 79th percentile for CPU performance, which means it's well above average for laptops in this class. The 16GB of LPDDR5X keeps things snappy, and the 512GB SSD is fine for everyday work. But don't expect gaming miracles. The integrated Intel Arc Graphics sit at a mediocre 65th percentile, and the gaming score of 9.4 out of 100 tells you everything. This thing is for spreadsheets, not shooters.

vs Competition
The Surface Laptop 6 sits in an awkward spot. The Apple MacBook Pro M4 Pro absolutely crushes it in GPU performance and battery life, but costs more. The Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro offers similar portability with a better display. And if you want any gaming capability at all, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or Lenovo Legion Pro 7i are in a completely different league. The Surface wins on pure business focus and build quality, but it's not the best value in this group.

Preço
Value & Pricing
The Surface Laptop 6 is listed anywhere from $900 to $2,299 depending on the vendor. That's a massive spread. At $900, this is a steal for a business laptop with this build quality. At $2,299, you're getting into MacBook Pro territory and should probably look elsewhere. Check Newegg for the better deal if you're buying used.

Overview
The Surface Laptop 6 is Microsoft's best business laptop yet, and it's not even close. The Core Ultra 7 165H brings serious performance to a chassis that still feels premium and portable. The one thing to know? This is a productivity machine first, and it absolutely nails that job.
Common Questions
Q: Can the Surface Laptop 6 handle gaming?
No. The integrated Intel Arc Graphics score 9.4 out of 100 for gaming. This is strictly a productivity machine. If you want to game, get an ASUS ROG Zephyrus or Lenovo Legion instead.
Q: Is 512GB of storage enough?
For most business users, yes. Documents, presentations, and even some media will fit fine. But if you work with large video files or lots of VMs, you'll want external storage or a different config.
Q: How does the battery life actually hold up?
Microsoft claims 18.5 hours, which is optimistic. Real-world use will likely land you around 10-12 hours of mixed productivity work. Still solid, but not the 18.5 hours they advertise.
Who Should Skip This
If you're looking for any kind of gaming performance, this isn't it. Go get an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or Lenovo Legion Pro 7i instead. And if you're already in the Apple ecosystem, the MacBook Pro M4 Pro is simply better in almost every way for the same money.
Verdict
Buy the Surface Laptop 6 if you need a reliable, portable Windows machine for work and don't care about gaming. It's a solid performer with excellent build quality. Just make sure you're paying closer to $900 than $2,299, because at the high end, there are better options.
