Lenovo Legion Tower 5a Gen 10 Eclipse Black 2025

The Legion Tower 5a Gen 10 scores 90.6/100 for gaming, driven by an RTX 5070 in the 85th percentile and 32GB of DDR5. Port selection is excellent at the 90th percentile, but the compact score of 30.4/100 and 18kg weight mean this is a stay-put machine. At $3,775 USD, it's pricey but delivers top-tier gaming performance.

The RTX 5070 is the star here. Sitting in the 85th percentile for GPUs, it's one of the best on the market right now, and the 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM means it'll handle high-refresh 1440p gaming and even some 4K without choking. The Ryzen 7 7700X with 8 cores at 4.5GHz lands in the 75th percentile, which is well above average and more than enough to keep the GPU fed in most titles. 32GB of DDR5 RAM puts you in the 80th percentile, so background tasks won't steal frames from your game.

Storage is a 1TB NVMe SSD, which lands in the 75th percentile. That's solid, but if you're the type who keeps 15 games installed at once, you'll probably want to add a second drive eventually. The 850W PSU gives you headroom for future upgrades too, which is nice to see in a prebuilt.

Against the HP OMEN GT22-3080, the Legion holds its own on GPU performance but the OMEN often comes in cheaper with similar specs. The Apple Mac Studio M3 Ultra is a different beast entirely, aimed at creators rather than gamers, and it'll crush the Legion in productivity but can't touch it for gaming value. The Dell Area-51 is a more direct competitor, and while it has brand recognition, the Legion's port selection at the 90th percentile gives it a real edge for connectivity. The ASUS ROG GM700 and CLX SET TGMSETRTU5204BM round out the field, but neither has the same combination of GPU percentile and port selection that the Legion brings.

Here's where things get tricky. The only price we have is $3,775 USD from a single listing, and there's also a CAD listing at the same number, which is a bit odd. At $3,775 USD, you're paying a premium for that RTX 5070 and the Legion branding. The customer rating is a perfect 5 out of 5 across 3 reviews, but that's a tiny sample size. One buyer mentioned it was a great deal, which suggests the price might fluctuate or there are discounts to be had. If you can snag this closer to $3,000, it starts looking a lot more reasonable.

The Legion Tower 5a Gen 10 is a mid-tower that puts up some serious numbers. The RTX 5070 with 12GB of GDDR7 lands in the 85th percentile for GPUs in our database, which puts it in the top tier of gaming desktops right now. Paired with a Ryzen 7 7700X, 32GB of DDR5, and a 1TB NVMe SSD, this thing is built to chew through modern games without breaking a sweat. The gaming score of 90.6 out of 100 tells you most of what you need to know.

But it's not all sunshine. The compact score is a rough 30.4 out of 100, and at 18kg, this is not a machine you'll be moving around much. The port selection is a bright spot though, landing in the 90th percentile with 2 USB-C ports, 7 USB-A ports, DisplayPort, HDMI, and Wi-Fi 6E. You won't be hunting for dongles with this one.

If you're tight on space, this is not your machine. The compact score of 30.4 out of 100 is one of the weakest we've seen, and at 18kg, you're not tucking this under a desk easily. If you need a machine for creative work like video editing or 3D rendering, the Apple Mac Studio M3 Ultra will serve you better despite the higher price. And if you're on a budget, the $3,775 USD listing price is steep for what you get, especially with only 1TB of storage.

The Legion Tower 5a Gen 10 is a legit gaming machine. The RTX 5070 in the 85th percentile and a gaming score of 90.6/100 put it near the top of our charts. The port selection is genuinely excellent, and the 850W PSU means you won't need to swap it out if you upgrade the GPU down the line. The compact score of 30.4 is the main thing holding it back, along with the hefty 18kg weight. If you've got the space and don't plan on moving it, this is a strong buy, especially if you can find it below the $3,775 USD listing price.
