AMD FX 9590 8-core AMD Socket AM3+
The FX-9590 pushes an 8-core Vishera design to a 5.0GHz boost clock on the aging AM3+ socket, but its 220W TDP demands liquid cooling and a high-end motherboard. Its unlocked multiplier and 8MB of L3 cache offer overclocking headroom for legacy DDR3 systems, though efficiency scores just 29/100. This CPU suits budget builders reviving old AM3+ rigs for basic multithreaded tasks, not modern gaming or power-conscious users.
