What surprised us most is how Belkin nailed the fundamentals for the price and then fumbled the easy stuff. The battery life is a standout, landing in the 93rd percentile of our database, which means weeks of commuting between charges. Sound is solidly above average, and the microphone clarity gets the job done. But the Environmental Noise Cancellation is a weak point, falling into the bottom third of what we've tested. It takes the edge off some background hum but won't silence anything meaningful. It's fine for a quiet office, but a letdown for the commute.

The SoundForm Surround sits awkwardly between a rock and a hard place. The Soundcore Life Q20 is the most obvious alternative and a better buy overall. It offers a more comfortable fit and punchier, more engaging sound for roughly the same price or less. On the other hand, if you're trying to climb the budget ladder, the JBL Live 770NC trades some battery life for a massive jump in comfort, build quality, and effective noise cancelling. The Belkin's one shining trick is its absurd battery life, but the competition beats it everywhere else that matters.

Pricing here is a wild west show, with a spread of nearly ten thousand dollars across vendors. Ignore the nonsense. If you can snag these for anywhere near the lower end of the $32 mark, the battery life and connectivity alone are a steal. At that price, they're a solid pair of backup or kids' headphones. But if you're seeing prices creep toward the triple digits, absolutely walk away. The comfort and build quality just don't support a higher price tag.

The Belkin SoundForm Surround is a classic mixed bag. You get a genuinely epic 60-hour battery and modern Bluetooth 5.4 all packed into a foldable design that doesn't break the bank. If you wear headphones for more than an hour at a time or value deep, punchy bass, this isn't for you. Go get the Soundcore Life Q20 instead. It's a straight-up upgrade in comfort, sound quality, and build for the same price, even if the battery life isn't quite as bonkers.

Don't buy these unless you're a light user or absolutely need the marathon battery and can confirm a firm fit won't bother you. The battery life is brilliant and they're packed with features for the price, but headphones that hurt to wear are a non-starter for most people.
