Performance
The i5-1135G7 is a solid workhorse for email, spreadsheets, and a dozen browser tabs, but it sits right in the middle of the pack for CPU performance. The integrated graphics, though, are a weird flex. They rank near the top of our database, which says more about how weak integrated graphics are in general than about this chip's gaming chops. Don't expect to play anything beyond indie titles or very old games. The 16GB of RAM is the real hero here, keeping Windows 11 Pro snappy even with a pile of apps open.

vs Competition
Stack this against a MacBook Pro M1 Pro and the ThinkPad loses on raw power, screen quality, and battery life, but it costs a fraction of the price. The HP OmniBook X Flip and ASUS Zenbook are newer, sleeker, and have better displays, but you'll pay two to three times more for that privilege. The Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 has a gorgeous screen and better portability, but again, the price gap is huge. If you want the best typing experience and don't need a color-accurate display, the ThinkPad is the value play. If you need performance or a great screen, save up for the MacBook or Surface.

Value & Pricing
At $310 USD, this is a no-brainer for anyone who needs a reliable typing machine and doesn't care about having the newest silicon. You're getting a laptop that cost over $1,000 new for less than a third of that. The risk is the refurb lottery. If you get a good unit, you've won. If you get a dud, Amazon's return policy is your safety net. For the price, it's worth rolling the dice.
Подробнее
Overview
The ThinkPad T14 Gen 2i is the used-car deal of the laptop world. You're getting a business-grade machine with a keyboard that still embarrasses most new laptops, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD for around $310 USD. It's not flashy, but it's built to be typed on all day and thrown in a bag without a second thought. The catch? This is an Amazon Renewed unit, so condition is a lottery, and the 11th Gen Intel chip inside is starting to show its age.
Common Questions
Q: Is this laptop good for gaming?
No. The integrated graphics can handle old or very light games, but anything modern will struggle. This is a work machine, not a gaming rig.
Q: How is the battery life on a renewed unit?
It's a gamble. Lenovo doesn't publish a specific rating for this config, and a used battery could be anywhere from great to nearly dead. Plan on keeping the charger nearby until you know what you've got.
Q: Can I upgrade the RAM or storage later?
The RAM is soldered on this model, so 16GB is what you get. The SSD is user-replaceable, so you can swap in a bigger drive if 512GB feels tight.
Who Should Skip This
If you're looking for a laptop with a bright, color-accurate screen for photo or video work, this isn't it. Go get a MacBook Pro or a Surface Laptop instead. And if you need any kind of gaming performance, even casual, look elsewhere. This is a typing and productivity machine, full stop.
Verdict
Buy it if you need a cheap, durable workhorse and you're okay with the refurb gamble. The keyboard alone is worth the price of admission, and 16GB of RAM means it'll stay useful for years. Just don't expect it to be a gaming machine or a media powerhouse. For $310 USD, it's one of the best budget business laptops you can find right now.
