Lenovo Legion Tower 90YJ00A9US Eclipse Black 2026

The Legion Tower 90YJ00A9US packs a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 5070 Ti, a killer combo for high-refresh gaming. Port selection is terrible and 1TB of storage is tight, but the core performance is excellent. Worth it if you want a powerful prebuilt and don't mind the price.

The RTX 5070 Ti sits in the 88th percentile among GPUs in our database, which means it's one of the best on the market right now. You'll chew through most games at high settings without breaking a sweat. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D lands at the 80th percentile for CPUs, a standout chip that keeps frame times smooth in CPU-heavy titles. 32GB of RAM is solid, around the 65th percentile, so multitasking while gaming won't choke the system. The weak spot is storage. 1TB is about average at the 49th percentile, and you'll fill that fast with modern game installs. Port selection is a real letdown at the 7th percentile, one of the worst we've seen for a tower this size.

Against the HP OMEN GT22-3080, the Legion Tower has a stronger CPU for gaming thanks to the 3D V-Cache, though the OMEN often comes in cheaper. The Apple Mac Studio M4 Max is a different animal entirely, better for creative work but not a gaming machine. The Dell Aurora DACT1250-7551BLK-PUS and MSI Aegis ZS2 A9NVP-1407US are closer rivals, with similar GPU tiers but different CPU choices. The CLX SET TGMSETRTU5204BM tends to offer more customization. The Legion's main edge is that 9800X3D, which is hard to beat for pure gaming frame rates.

At $2,868 USD, this Legion Tower is not cheap. You're paying a premium for the convenience of a prebuilt with a 9800X3D and 5070 Ti inside. The parts alone would run you a good chunk of that, but you could build something similar for less if you're willing to hunt for deals. The free 3 months of Game Pass softens the blow a little. If you value your time and just want to unbox and play, the price is easier to swallow. If you're budget-conscious, this isn't the deal of the century.

The Lenovo Legion Tower 90YJ00A9US is a mid-tower gaming rig that pairs AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D with an RTX 5070 Ti and 32GB of RAM. That's a serious combo for 1440p and even 4K gaming. The 9800X3D is a gaming monster thanks to that 3D V-Cache, and the 5070 Ti gives you plenty of GPU headroom.

It's not a small machine, and the port selection is genuinely bad for a desktop in this class. But if you want a plug-and-play gaming PC with current-gen parts and you don't want to build it yourself, this Legion Tower does the heavy lifting.

Skip this if you need a compact machine or lots of built-in ports. The compact score is a dismal 33 out of 100, and the port situation is one of the worst we've seen. If you're a content creator who needs Thunderbolt or a ton of USB connectivity, look at the Mac Studio or a custom build with a better motherboard.

This is a gaming-first machine for people who want top-tier performance without building a PC themselves. The 9800X3D and 5070 Ti combo will keep you happy for years at 1440p and handle 4K respectably. Just budget for an extra SSD and maybe a USB hub, because the built-in ports won't cut it.
