The Yealink WH66 has a best-in-class boom mic and insane wireless range, but comfort and sound quality are rough. It's really a call center workstation with a headset attached, not a general-purpose headset. Worth considering around $280 if you live on calls, skip it otherwise.

The mic is the star here. Two mics with Yealink's Acoustic Shield tech put it in the 97th percentile, which means your voice comes through crisp and clean even in a noisy office. Connectivity is also strong at the 85th percentile, with Bluetooth and DECT giving you solid range and multipoint pairing. But the rest is a letdown. Sound quality sits at the 26th percentile, so music sounds flat and lifeless. Battery life is just 8 hours, which lands at the 21st percentile. And comfort is a real problem at the 6th percentile, which is one of the worst we've seen. The 907g weight is mostly the base station, but the headset itself still feels clunky for all-day wear.

Against the Sennheiser HDB 630, the WH66 wins on mic quality and wireless range but loses badly on comfort and sound. The Sony ULT WEAR and Bowers & Wilkins Px8 S2 are in a completely different league for music and comfort, though they lack the workstation features. The Apple AirPods Max has far better build quality and ANC, but it's not designed for office phone systems. The Technics EAH-A800 splits the difference with better sound and comfort, but again, no base station. If you need the UC workstation features, nothing else here competes. If you just need a good wireless headset, all of these competitors are better.

Pricing is all over the place. We've seen this listed anywhere from $280 to a frankly absurd $45,904, which is either a typo or someone trying to sell a pallet of them. At the low end, around $280, it's a reasonable deal if you need a dedicated call center setup. At anything above $400, you're paying for the base station features, not the headset. The wireless charging pad and touchscreen are nice, but they don't justify a premium when the headset itself is uncomfortable and sounds mediocre.
