ASUS ROG G700 Gaming Black 2025
The 24-core Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and 16GB RTX 5060 Ti GPU with DLSS 4 deliver strong ray tracing performance and AI-assisted frame generation for modern gaming. A 4TB NVMe SSD provides massive out-of-the-box storage, while the liquid CPU cooler and tempered glass side panel with Aura Sync RGB lighting add a polished, showpiece aesthetic. This tower is best for developers and gamers who need a high-core-count CPU for compilation tasks and 1440p gaming without upgrading storage immediately.

Performance
The Core Ultra 9 285K is an absolute unit. 24 cores, turbo up to 5.70 GHz, and it sits in the 97th percentile for CPUs in our database. That's top of the charts territory. The 4TB NVMe SSD is also best-in-class, landing in the 99th percentile. But the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is just... fine. It's in the 75th percentile, which means it's good but not great. You'll crush 1080p gaming and do well at 1440p, but 4K ray tracing will make this GPU sweat. The 32GB of DDR5 at 5600 MHz is solid, nothing to complain about there.

vs Competition
The Lenovo Legion 90Y6003JUS and HP OMEN B91WHAA#ABA are the most direct competitors here. The Legion typically offers better gaming performance with a stronger GPU at a similar price point. The OMEN is usually cheaper but skimps on storage and CPU. The Apple Mac Studio M4 Max is a different beast entirely, better for creative work but useless for PC gaming. If you need Windows and raw CPU power, the ROG G700 wins. If you want gaming performance, look at the Legion.

Value & Pricing
At $2,889 USD, you're paying a premium for that CPU and storage combo. If you're a developer or content creator who needs 24 cores and 4TB of fast storage, this is actually a decent deal. But if you're a gamer, you can get a system with a much better GPU for the same money. The value depends entirely on what you're doing with it.

Overview
The ASUS ROG G700 is a weird one. You've got a monster CPU and a massive 4TB SSD paired with a mid-range RTX 5060 Ti. It's like putting a Ferrari engine in a commuter sedan. For developers and creators who need raw processing power and storage, this thing is a beast. For pure gamers, the GPU is the bottleneck, and you'll feel it at higher resolutions.
Common Questions
Q: Is the ROG G700 good for gaming?
It's decent for 1080p and 1440p gaming, but the RTX 5060 Ti will struggle with 4K and heavy ray tracing. If gaming is your main priority, get something with a better GPU.
Q: Can I upgrade the GPU later?
Yes, it's a standard tower with a discrete GPU, so you can swap in a better card later. Just make sure your power supply can handle it.
Q: Is the liquid cooling worth it?
For a 24-core CPU that can turbo to 5.70 GHz, absolutely. Air cooling would struggle to keep this thing from thermal throttling under sustained loads.
Who Should Skip This
If you're a gamer looking for the best frame rates per dollar, this isn't it. Go get a system with an RTX 5070 Ti or 5080 instead. You'll sacrifice some CPU cores and storage, but your games will actually run the way you want them to.
Verdict
The ASUS ROG G700 is a specialized tool. It's not a gaming PC despite the ROG branding. It's a workstation that happens to have a gaming GPU. Buy it if you need 24 cores and 4TB of storage for development, rendering, or heavy multitasking. Skip it if you just want to play games at high settings.
