Performance
The CPU sits in the 96th percentile and the GPU in the 94th, so this thing chews through AAA titles and creative workloads without breaking a sweat. The 24-core Ultra 9 275HX boosts to 5.4GHz, and paired with the RTX 5080, you're looking at frame rates that'll make your desktop jealous. What surprised us most is how well the cooling holds up under sustained load, though the fans make sure you hear every bit of that effort.

vs Competition
Against the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, the MSI wins on raw power but loses badly on portability, the G14 is a featherweight by comparison. The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 is the closest real rival, with similar specs and a slightly more refined cooling profile, but you'll typically pay more for it. The Apple MacBook Pro M4 Max is a different beast entirely, better for creators who value silence and battery life over gaming frame rates.

Value & Pricing
At USD 2,430 to 2,479 in the US, this is a lot of performance per dollar, especially if you catch it on sale. European buyers should shop carefully, the EUR spread is wild, from EUR 4,984 to EUR 5,739 across ES, FR, and IT. If you're in Europe, hunt for the lower end of that range or wait for a drop. For the raw specs, it's a solid deal, but the base 16GB RAM feels like a corner cut on a machine this powerful.

Подробнее
Overview
The MSI Vector 16 HX is a desktop replacement that doesn't apologize for its size. You're getting an Intel Ultra 9 275HX and an RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7, which puts it in the top tier of gaming laptops right now. The one thing to know: this is a performance-first machine, and everything else, including portability, takes a back seat.
Common Questions
Q: What graphics card does this laptop have?
It's packing an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. That's the latest generation, so you're set for ray tracing and DLSS 4 for years.
Q: Is the keyboard backlit?
Yes, and it's customizable RGB too. You can set it to whatever color scheme matches your setup, or just leave it on a static color if you're not into the rainbow look.
Q: How much RAM does the Vector 16 HX have?
The base config comes with 16GB of DDR5, but the laptop supports up to 64GB. If you're doing heavy creative work or running lots of VMs, you'll want to upgrade that yourself.
Who Should Skip This
If you need something you can actually carry around, this isn't it. The Vector 16 HX weighs 2.7kg and scores in the bottom 10th percentile for compactness. Go grab an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or a MacBook Pro instead, you'll thank yourself at the airport.
Verdict
If you want maximum gaming performance and don't care about carrying a brick, the MSI Vector 16 HX is an easy recommendation. The RTX 5080 and Ultra 9 combo is future-proof for years, and the display is a joy. Just know that the fan noise is part of the package, and you'll want to upgrade the RAM sooner rather than later.
