Dell 14 Plus DB14250 AI Powered Laptop 14.0" Blue 2025

A featherweight business laptop with a screen that punches way above its weight class. Buy it for work, not for play, and only if you find it under a grand.

The Core Ultra 7 256V surprised us with how snappy it feels in day-to-day work. App launches are instant, and the 16GB of LPDDR5X keeps multitasking smooth even with a ton of tabs open. The 1TB SSD is solid, landing in the 68th percentile for storage speed in our database. The integrated Intel Arc graphics are the bottleneck. They're fine for driving that high-res display, but our gaming score of 18.1 out of 100 tells the real story. This thing is a productivity champ that wilts under any real graphical load. The 64Wh battery is middle-of-the-pack, so expect a full workday but not much more.

The obvious rival is the Apple MacBook Pro M4 Pro. The MacBook will absolutely smoke the Dell in graphics and battery life, but you'll pay a lot more for the privilege. If you need raw power for creative work, the MacBook is the better tool. On the Windows side, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is the gaming alter ego. It's heavier and pricier, but it has a dedicated GPU that makes the Dell's integrated graphics look like a calculator. The Dell's only real advantage is its lightweight build and that excellent screen for pure productivity. Pick your poison: all-day work or after-hours play.

Pricing is all over the place, ranging from $931 to $1298 across vendors. At the low end, this is a solid deal for the display and CPU alone. At the high end, you're getting fleeced. Newegg currently has the best price, and that's the one to jump on. For a business laptop with this screen quality and a brand-new Intel chip, anything under a grand feels like a win. Just don't pay a penny over $1000.

The Dell 14 Plus is a business traveler's sweet spot. You get a gorgeous 14-inch 2.5K display and Intel's latest Core Ultra 7 chip in a lightweight 1.5kg package that won't wreck your shoulder. It's built for spreadsheets, Slack, and a dozen browser tabs, not for gaming. The integrated Arc graphics are fine for streaming and light photo work, but don't expect to fire up Cyberpunk on your lunch break. The real headline here is that screen. At this price, a 120Hz 2560x1600 panel is a standout, making text look crisp and colors pop. Just know what you're buying: a productivity machine with a premium display, not a portable powerhouse.

If you're looking for a machine that can handle gaming or heavy creative work like video editing, this isn't it. Go get an ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or a MacBook Pro instead. This Dell is for spreadsheets and streaming, not rendering or ray tracing.

The Dell 14 Plus is a purpose-built machine that nails its mission. If you want a lightweight Windows laptop with a killer screen for office work, web browsing, and video calls, this is one of the best options right now. The display alone puts it ahead of most business laptops in this price bracket. Just don't expect it to be something it's not. This is a work tool, not a toy. Buy it for the screen, stay for the portability, and leave the gaming to a console.
