Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 here is a beast, landing in the 94th percentile for CPUs. In real terms, that means Genshin Impact at max settings is a smooth experience and emulation up to PS2 and some Switch titles runs shockingly well. What surprised us most is the cooling. Lenovo's ColdFront system actually works, after an hour of gaming the back gets warm but never uncomfortably hot, and we didn't see the aggressive thermal throttling that plagues some other high-powered tablets. The 12GB of RAM is plenty for multitasking, though the 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage fills up fast if you're hoarding ROMs and large game files.

vs Competition
The obvious competitor is the iPad Mini, but Apple doesn't offer a 165Hz screen or this level of raw gaming silicon at this size without stepping up to a much pricier Pro model. The Legion Tab Gen 3 smokes it for high-refresh gaming. A Steam Deck OLED is a more interesting cross-shop. The Deck is heavier and bulkier but plays your entire Steam library natively and has video out. The Legion is a sharper, lighter Android tablet that excels at cloud gaming and Android titles. If you're deep in the Android ecosystem and want a premium media and gaming slate, the Legion is the one. If you need a PC gaming library on the go, just get the Deck.

Preço
Value & Pricing
Pricing is all over the place, ranging from $380 to $487 across vendors. At the low end, this tablet is an absolute steal for the raw performance you're getting. At nearly $500, it's a tougher sell against a base iPad or a Steam Deck. Shop around and snag it closer to that $380 mark and you'll feel like you got away with something. The best deal we spotted was on Newegg.

Overview
The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is the best small Android gaming tablet you can buy right now, full stop. It packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and a buttery 165Hz screen into a 350g body that's actually comfortable to hold for hours. This thing is a pocket-sized powerhouse built for people who want serious gaming performance without lugging around a 13-inch slab. The 8.8-inch form factor is the real star here, it's big enough to get lost in a game but small enough to not feel ridiculous on the couch. Just know that this is a gaming tablet first and a productivity machine a very distant second.
Common Questions
Q: Can I connect this to a TV or monitor for gaming?
Nope, and it's the biggest miss on this tablet. The USB-C port is for charging and data only, no video out. You're strictly playing on the built-in screen.
Q: Is the storage expandable?
No microSD card slot. You're stuck with the 256GB built in, so you'll need to be a little picky about which big games you keep installed.
Q: Does it come with a charger and case?
It comes with a USB-C cable and a 45W charger in the box. Some retailers might bundle a basic case, but don't count on it, check the listing before you buy.
Who Should Skip This
If you're looking for a laptop replacement or a tablet for serious work, this isn't it. The productivity score is its weakest point by far. Go get a Microsoft Surface Pro or an iPad with a Magic Keyboard instead. This is a pure entertainment and gaming machine.
Verdict
The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is a niche device that absolutely nails its niche. It's a no-compromise gaming tablet in a size that actually makes sense for gaming. The lack of video out stings, and the accessory situation is a mess, but the core experience of playing games on this bright, fast screen is fantastic. If you want the most powerful small Android tablet on the market, your search ends here.
