Performance
The 10-core i5-1334U handles day-to-day stuff without breaking a sweat. We were surprised by how well the 20GB of RAM keeps things moving, you can have a dozen browser tabs, Spotify, and a spreadsheet open and it won't blink. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics are the weak spot, landing near the bottom of our database for GPU performance. Don't expect to play anything beyond casual games.

vs Competition
Stacked against the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7th Edition, the Inspiron feels clunky and dim, but it's also way cheaper. The MacBook Pro M5 is in a different universe entirely, both in price and performance. For the money, the Inspiron holds its own against other budget Windows laptops, but if you can stretch your budget, the Surface Laptop is a much nicer experience.

Value & Pricing
At $710 USD, this is a fair deal for what you get. The RAM alone makes it stand out in the budget category. If you need a reliable daily driver for school or office work, this is worth it. Just don't expect it to be anything more than that.

Overview
The Dell Inspiron 15 3530 is a budget-friendly workhorse that punches above its weight for everyday tasks. The headline here is the 20GB of RAM, which is unusual at this price and makes multitasking genuinely smooth. It's not a gaming machine, not even close, but for students and office work it's a solid pick.
Common Questions
Q: Can this laptop handle gaming?
Nope. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics are near the bottom of our database. Stick to Solitaire or very light indie games.
Q: Is the screen bright enough for outdoor use?
Not really. At 220 nits, it's fine indoors but will struggle in direct sunlight or bright cafes.
Q: Does the touchscreen work well with a stylus?
It's responsive for tapping and swiping, but this isn't a precision drawing tablet. For note-taking with a finger or basic stylus, it's fine.
Who Should Skip This
If you're looking for a gaming laptop or something with a bright, color-accurate display, this isn't it. Go grab a Lenovo Legion 5i or a Surface Laptop instead. And if you need serious GPU power, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is the better call.
Verdict
If you need a dependable laptop for school, office work, or general browsing, the Inspiron 15 3530 is a solid buy. The 20GB of RAM is the star here, making multitasking painless. Just keep it plugged in and indoors, and you'll be happy.
