AMD FX-Series FX-9590 8-core AMD Socket AM3+
The 5.0GHz boost clock on its 8-core Vishera architecture delivers strong multi-threaded throughput for its era, but the 220W TDP demands robust cooling and a high-end motherboard. Its unlocked multiplier and 8MB of L2 cache offer straightforward overclocking headroom for enthusiasts on the legacy AM3+ platform. This processor suits budget-conscious tinkerers running heavily threaded, non-AVX workloads who already own compatible DDR3 memory and a 990FX board.
