Best Sony Portrait Lenses Under CA$3,500 in 2026

The f/1.2 aperture and 11-blade diaphragm deliver exceptionally shallow depth of field with smooth, rounded bokeh, while four XD Linear Motors provide fast, silent autofocus for both stills and video. Despite its bright design, the lens maintains a relatively portable 778g build with comprehensive weather sealing and a de-clickable aperture ring for seamless video operation. This lens is best for portrait photographers and wedding shooters who need uncompromising low-light performance and definitive subject separation.

Combining a versatile 12-24mm focal range with a constant f/4 aperture, this lens delivers sharp results through 4 aspherical and 4 ED glass elements in a compact 565g body. Its dust and moisture-resistant build and Nano AR Coating ensure reliable performance with dramatically reduced flare, even in challenging light. This is best for landscape and architecture photographers who need an ultra-wide, rectilinear zoom that remains portable for extensive field work.
