Uperfect Portable Monitor M173J06-B 17.3" Black

A brilliant 4K panel in a shockingly light package makes this a dream for traveling creatives. Just don't buy it expecting a high-speed gaming monitor.

The display quality is the real surprise here. With 100% sRGB coverage and 500 nits of brightness, it's one of the best portable panels we've seen for color accuracy, landing in the 92nd percentile. It's bright enough to fight off glare in a coffee shop and sharp enough to make text look like printed paper. The 60Hz cap and 3ms response time are just okay, sitting right in the middle of the pack for performance. It's smooth for desktop work, but don't expect the buttery motion of a high-refresh gaming monitor.

This Uperfect sits in a weird spot. It's not competing with the high-refresh OLED gaming beasts like the MSI MAG 271QPX or ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDPG, which are in a different league for speed and contrast but are also bigger, pricier, and not portable. Its real fight is with other 4K portable monitors, where its color accuracy and VESA mount give it a leg up. If you're considering a standard 15.6-inch 1080p portable monitor, this 17.3-inch 4K screen is a massive upgrade in screen real estate and clarity, making it a no-brainer if the budget allows.

At $350, this monitor is a solid deal for the sheer pixel density and color quality you're getting. It's a niche tool, and for the traveling creative or coder who needs a high-res second display, it's absolutely worth it. If you just need a basic portable screen for spreadsheets, you can spend half as much and be just as happy.

The Uperfect M173J06-B is a 17.3-inch 4K portable monitor that gets the big things right and stumbles on the details. That stunning 4K panel is the star of the show, delivering sharp, vibrant images that make it a killer travel companion for creatives and anyone who needs a pixel-dense second screen. But a 60Hz refresh rate and some middling build quality feedback keep it from being a slam dunk for everyone.

If you're a gamer who prioritizes smooth motion over pixel count, this isn't your monitor. The 60Hz refresh rate will feel like a slideshow if you're used to 120Hz or higher. Go grab a high-refresh portable gaming monitor from ASUS or a similar brand instead, and you'll be much happier.

The Uperfect M173J06-B is a specialized tool that excels at one thing: putting a stunning 4K picture in your backpack. It's a fantastic choice for photographers, video editors, and anyone who needs color-critical accuracy on the go. Gamers looking for a portable screen will find the 60Hz limit a drag, but for productivity and creative work, this display is a sharp, vibrant winner.
