Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR 56mm
Its f/1.2 aperture combined with an updated optical formula featuring two aspherical elements delivers exceptional subject isolation and sharpness, now with weather-sealed construction for reliable outdoor use. The 11-blade rounded diaphragm produces smooth, pleasing bokeh that enhances its 85mm-equivalent portrait field of view. This lens is best for portrait photographers who need a rugged, fast prime with refined rendering for professional client work.

- Excellent sharpness and beautiful bokeh wide open, with high keeper rates.
- Autofocus is decent for slow subjects but lags behind linear motor lenses and hunts in low light.
- Two copies had dust inside the front element, raising QC concerns for a $1,000 lens.
- Aperture ring is too easy to bump; hood covers ring when reversed, hindering quick adjustments.
