ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" GA403WW-G14.R95080 Platinum White 2025
Apple MacBook Pro 14.2" M5 Space Black 2025
Buy the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 if you want a lightweight gaming laptop that crushes AAA titles and creative workloads without breaking the bank.
Buy the MacBook Pro M5 if you're a creative professional or heavy multitasker who values silent, cool operation and all-day battery life over raw GPU power.
Key Differences
- The G14's RTX 5080 scores 35,666 on GPU benchmarks vs the MacBook's 8,452, a 4.2x gap that makes the ASUS the clear winner for gaming and GPU-heavy creative work.
- The MacBook Pro M5 hits 1,600 nits brightness vs the G14's 500 nits, and its Mini-LED panel handles HDR content far better than the ASUS OLED in bright rooms.
- The G14 ships with 32GB RAM and a 2TB SSD, while the MacBook starts at 16GB and 512GB, meaning you'll pay extra for upgrades on the Apple side.
- Owners of both machines report 95/100 sentiment scores, but the MacBook's gripes are limited to base storage while G14 owners mention fan noise during gaming and Armoury Crate bloat.
- The MacBook runs silent and cool under load, while the G14 gets loud when gaming, a real trade-off if you work in shared spaces or hate fan whine.
