Acer TravelMate B3 Spin 12 12.2" TMB312RN-31-C86V Black 2024
ASUS Zenbook 14" UX3405CA-U7512 Jasper Gray 2025
The Acer TravelMate B3 Spin makes sense only for tight budgets or rough environments like classrooms where a cheap, rugged convertible with an extra USB port matters more than speed.
Grab the ASUS Zenbook if you want a premium ultraportable for work, school, or travel where the OLED screen, snappy multitasking, and all-metal build actually make your day better.
Key Differences
- CPU performance is a blowout: the Zenbook's 16-core Core Ultra 7 scores 30,708 in multi-core benchmarks versus 5,386 for the Acer's 4-core chip, so anything beyond basic web browsing will feel dramatically faster on the ASUS.
- RAM and storage tell the real story: 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD on the Zenbook versus 4GB RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage on the Acer, which means the TravelMate will choke on multitasking and fill up fast.
- The display gap is huge: the Zenbook has a 500-nit OLED touchscreen while the Acer makes do with a 250-nit IPS panel, so the ASUS is brighter, punchier, and way better for media or outdoor use.
- Graphics aren't close either: Intel Arc Graphics in the Zenbook score 5,484 in GPU benchmarks versus 1,534 for the Acer's UHD Graphics, a 3.6x gap that matters for light gaming or any GPU-accelerated work.
- Customer sentiment backs the specs: Zenbook owners consistently praise the premium build, stunning OLED, and fast performance, with gripes limited to 512GB storage and battery life varying with brightness, while the Acer's only spec win is a second USB port.
