Dell Latitude 14" 7410 Black 2020
Apple MacBook Pro 14.2" M4 Max Silver 2024
Grab the Dell Latitude 7410 if you need a cheap, reliable Windows laptop for email, spreadsheets, and Zoom calls and don't care about raw performance or a fancy display.
Buy the MacBook Pro M4 Max if you edit 4K video, run local AI models, compile massive codebases, or just want the fastest laptop Apple makes and have the budget for it.
Differenze chiave
- The M4 Max scores 43,903 in multi-core CPU benchmarks vs 5,917 for the Latitude's Core i5-10310U. That's a 7.4x gap, which means a video export that takes 10 minutes on the MacBook would take over an hour on the Dell.
- RAM and storage aren't even close: 64GB LPDDR5 and 4TB SSD on the MacBook vs 16GB DDR4 and 512GB on the Dell. The MacBook has 4x the memory and 8x the storage.
- The MacBook's Mini-LED panel runs at 3024px resolution vs the Dell's 1920px IPS screen. Better contrast, better color, way sharper text. The Dell's display is fine for office work, but it's not in the same league.
- Both have solid user reviews, but the MacBook sits at 5.0/5 from 33 reviews while the Dell manages 4.3/5 from 11. Owners of the MacBook consistently mention it handles heavy photo and video editing without breaking a sweat, and nobody reported any real gripes.
- Price is the elephant in the room. A maxed-out M4 Max MacBook Pro runs $3,000+, while a used or refurbished Latitude 7410 can be had for a few hundred bucks. The Dell wins on value if you just need a basic work laptop.
