Dell Latitude 14" 7420 Black 2021
Apple MacBook Pro 14.2" M4 Max Silver 2024
Grab the Dell Latitude 7420 if you need a cheap, reliable Windows laptop for email, spreadsheets, and web browsing, and you don't care about raw performance.
Buy the MacBook Pro M4 Max if you're editing 4K video, training local AI models, compiling massive codebases, or doing any heavy creative work where time is money.
Differenze chiave
- The M4 Max posts a multi-core benchmark of 43,903 versus the Latitude's 9,912, so the MacBook finishes heavy renders and compiles in a fraction of the time.
- You get 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 4TB of storage on the MacBook, while the Dell ships with 16GB of DDR4 and a 512GB SSD, which is fine for Office but chokes on big datasets.
- The MacBook's Mini-LED panel runs at 120Hz with 1600 nits brightness, while the Dell's IPS screen is stuck at 60Hz and 250 nits, so the MacBook is actually usable outdoors and way smoother for scrolling.
- The Dell wins on price and repairability, since used units go for around $430 and parts are everywhere, while the MacBook starts around $3,099 and Apple charges a premium for any upgrades.
- Customer sentiment for the MacBook is glowing, with owners praising its heavy-lifting performance and Apple ecosystem integration, while the Dell has so few reviews that real-world durability and battery life are basically unknown.
