De 26.2MP sensor levert plaatjes die er gewoon goed uitzien, met een dynamisch bereik en kleurweergave die je van Canon verwacht. De autofocus met oogdetectie is accuraat, maar de 5 fps burst is traag en de buffer is snel vol. De Canon EOS RP is de goedkoopste manier om in de full-frame wereld van Canon te stappen, en dat merk je. Hij is belachelijk licht en compact, bijna alsof je een cropcamera vasthoudt. Dat is meteen zijn grootste troef: je krijgt die grote, mooie sensor in een body die je zonder klagen de hele dag meeneemt.
