HiFiMan Ananda NANO
Sony WH-1000XM6
What Buyers Say
HiFiMan Ananda NANO
The Hifiman Ananda Nano is widely praised for its exceptional clarity, detail, and tight bass, especially when paired with a good DAC/amp. Many users consider it a clear upgrade over the Edition XS, though some find the treble overly bright and the clamp force too strong. Comfort is generally good, but the ear pads can feel coarse and the fit is snug. Overall, it offers outstanding sound quality for the price, but requires proper amplification and may need EQ to tame brightness.
Pros
- Exceptional clarity and detail
- Tight and well-controlled bass
- Good value for the price
- Comfortable for long sessions
- Significant upgrade over Edition XS
Cons
- Treble can be overly bright
- Strong clamp force may be uncomfortable
- Requires good DAC/amp to shine
- Ear pads feel coarse
- Soundstage narrower than Edition XS
Sony WH-1000XM6
The Sony WH-1000XM6 earns praise for its exceptional noise cancellation, clear sound quality, and comfortable fit for many users, with several calling it the best headphones they've owned. However, a significant number of reviews highlight serious drawbacks: uncomfortable clamping force and shallow earcups causing pain, buggy multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, a fingerprint-prone finish, and disappointing customer service regarding warranty repairs and promised free gifts. While the ANC and audio are top-tier, comfort and reliability issues prevent it from being a universal recommendation.
Pros
- Exceptional noise cancellation
- Clear and detailed sound quality
- Comfortable for many users
- Long battery life
- Foldable design
Cons
- Uncomfortable clamping force
- Shallow earcups causing pain
- Buggy multipoint Bluetooth
- Fingerprint-prone finish
- Poor customer service
