• The HP's RTX 5070 GPU scores 28,703 in benchmarks versus 5,484 for the Surface's integrated Intel Arc, a 5.2x gap that means the difference between playing Cyberpunk at 60fps and not playing it at all.
• The HP packs 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD compared to the Surface's 16GB and 512GB, so you get double the memory and storage for heavier multitasking and bigger game libraries.
• The HP's 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H hits 34,200 in multi-core benchmarks versus 19,381 for the Surface's 8-core Core Ultra 7 266V, a 1.8x advantage that shows up in video exports, code compiles, and anything CPU-heavy.
• Owners consistently praise the HP's 3K OLED display, all-metal build, and cooling, but gripe about the soldered RAM and the RTX 5070 being capped at 75W, so it's not full desktop-class GPU performance.
• The Surface wins on portability and likely battery life in normal use, while HP owners report short battery life unless you switch to eco mode, so the Surface is the better pick if you're away from an outlet all day.
