Apple MacBook Pro 14.2" M4 Max Silver 2024
ASUS ROG Zephyrus 14" GA403WR-G14.R95070TI Platinum White 2025
Buy the MacBook Pro M4 Max if you're a video editor, developer, or Apple ecosystem person who needs serious CPU power, 64GB of RAM, and a display that hits 1600 nits without breaking a sweat.
Buy the Zephyrus G14 if you want a compact 14-inch gaming laptop that can also handle creative work, and you don't mind tweaking settings to keep temps and noise in check.
Differenze chiave
- GPU performance is night and day: the RTX 5070 Ti scores 32,372 vs the M4 Max's 17,798, so the ASUS nearly doubles the MacBook in graphics-heavy workloads and gaming.
- The MacBook doubles the RAM (64GB vs 32GB) and quadruples the storage (4TB vs 1TB), which matters a lot for large video projects or running multiple VMs.
- Display tech splits priorities: the ASUS has a gorgeous OLED panel but only 500 nits, while the MacBook's Mini-LED hits 1600 nits, way better for HDR work or bright rooms.
- Real-world sentiment is telling: ASUS owners mention chassis wobble, heat, and loud fans under load, while MacBook buyers report zero significant drawbacks, though the MacBook has far fewer reviews (33 vs 1,134).
- Price gap is brutal: the Zephyrus G14 runs around $2,000 while a similarly specced M4 Max MacBook Pro easily tops $4,000, so you're paying double for the Apple polish and CPU muscle.
