Microsoft Surface Laptop 15" 7 Black 2024
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" GA403WW-G14.R95080 Platinum White 2025
Buy the Surface Laptop 7 if you're a student or office worker who prioritizes battery life, quiet operation, and a slim design over raw GPU horsepower.
Buy the Zephyrus G14 if you want a portable gaming rig or creator machine that can handle AAA titles, 3D rendering, and AI workloads without breaking a sweat.
Diferencias clave
- GPU performance is a landslide: the Zephyrus G14's RTX 5080 scores 35,666 on benchmarks vs the Surface's Adreno GPU at 59. That's not a typo. Gaming score is 100 vs 19.
- RAM goes the other way: the Surface packs 64GB vs the G14's 32GB, which matters for heavy multitasking and large datasets, though the G14's discrete GPU still wins for actual rendering.
- Display tech: the G14 has a 2880px OLED panel at 500 nits, while the Surface uses a 2496px IPS at 600 nits. OLED gives you deeper blacks and better contrast, but the Surface gets brighter.
- Real-world sentiment: G14 owners (271 reviews, 4.7/5) rave about build quality and the OLED screen but complain about fan noise during gaming and Armoury Crate bloat. The Surface only has 7 reviews at 4.4/5, so long-term reliability is less proven.
- AI and creator scores: the G14 hits 75 for AI/LLM and 88 for creator tasks vs the Surface's 31 and 34. If you're doing local AI inference or video editing, the choice is obvious.
