What Buyers Say
Retropia M43 Mount Compatible 32mm
This lens is a fun, low-cost toy for creating vintage-looking photos, but it has serious quality and compatibility issues. Many users praise its unique color effects and lightweight build, but a significant number report it simply doesn't work or fails to meet advertised expectations. The lack of autofocus, problematic purple vignetting, and missing parts for the Oreo-style design are common complaints. It's best suited for casual experimentation with realistic expectations.
Pros
- Unique vintage color effects
- Lightweight and portable
- Fun for casual photography
- Low price point
- Good build quality for toy lens
Cons
- Incompatibility with some camera modes
- Purple vignetting can be overwhelming
- Missing advertised parts (Oreo design)
- No autofocus or manual focus
- Some units non-functional (completely opaque)
7Artisans 35mm 0.95 35mm
This 7Artisans 50mm f/0.95 lens is praised for its exceptional build quality, metal-and-glass construction, and incredible value at around $250. Users love the smooth, silky focus ring and the beautiful, creamy bokeh produced by the 12-blade aperture, though many note the clickless aperture ring is easily accidental and focus requires care at f/0.95. Chromatic aberration and flare are present but correctable in post, and the included lens cap does not fit over a UV filter. Overall, it's seen as a fun, compact lens that reignites passion for photography, especially on Fuji X series bodies with focus peaking.
Pros
- Exceptionally good value for money
- Solid metal-and-glass build quality
- Smooth, silky manual focus ring
- Beautiful creamy bokeh with 12-blade aperture
- Compact and lightweight design
Cons
- Clickless aperture ring moves accidentally
- Lens cap does not fit with UV filter
- Chromatic aberration at high-contrast edges
- Flare when shooting directly into sun
- No lens hood included
