Shure SE846G2CL
The Shure SE846 Gen2 IEMs receive overwhelmingly positive feedback for their exceptional sound quality, particularly the deep bass, clear mids, and detailed highs. Users praise the excellent noise isolation, comfortable fit (especially with triple-flange tips), and the innovative interchangeable nozzle system that allows on-the-fly EQ adjustments. While the high price is a common concern, most reviewers consider them a worthwhile investment for both gaming and music, often comparing them favorably to competitors like Sennheiser IE600 and various Chi-Fi models. A few minor drawbacks include the need for an external amplifier to reach full potential and the over-ear cable design, which may not suit everyone.
Pros
- Exceptional sound quality
- Deep and responsive bass
- Excellent noise isolation
- Comfortable fit with triple-flange tips
- Interchangeable nozzle system for EQ
Cons
- High price point
- Requires external amplifier for best performance
- Over-ear cable design not for everyone
- Fit adjustment needed for optimal sound
- Subtle filter differences
