Intel Core Ultra 5 245K 14-core Intel Socket 1851
74 out of 100 medium confidence 11 reviews
The Intel Core Ultra 5 245K is praised for its energy efficiency, cool running temperatures, and strong performance in media server and creative workloads like Blender and video editing, with many reviewers noting it saves on GPU costs due to built-in AV1 encoding. However, some users reported compatibility issues, specifically that it requires an LGA 1851 socket (not LGA 1700 as some had expected), leading to disappointment and extra expenses. Overall, it is seen as a solid mid-range CPU offering excellent value, especially for non-gaming tasks, though gamers may find it slower than alternatives.
