The Amazon Fire HD 8 is widely praised for its excellent value, especially when purchased on sale, offering a full HD screen, good sound, and solid battery life for under $100. Users appreciate its portability and durability, with one reviewer noting it survived nearly two years of toddler use. However, some criticize the poorly placed buttons that can accidentally shut down the device, and the overall performance can be sluggish for multitasking. Despite these drawbacks, it is considered a great budget tablet for reading, streaming, and light use.
