Dell Latitude 14" 5410 Gray 2021
Apple MacBook Pro 14.2" M4 Max Silver 2024
The Dell Latitude 5410 makes sense for IT departments or budget buyers who just need a reliable, cheap laptop for web browsing, Office apps, and light business tasks.
Get the MacBook Pro M4 Max if you do heavy video editing, 3D work, AI/LLM tinkering, or software development and want a machine that chews through everything without breaking a sweat.
Differenze chiave
- CPU performance is a blowout: the M4 Max scores 43,903 in multi-core benchmarks vs the Latitude's 5,917, so rendering or compiling that takes minutes on the MacBook would take hours on the Dell.
- Storage and RAM tell the story: 4TB SSD and 64GB LPDDR5 on the MacBook vs 256GB and 32GB DDR4 on the Dell, meaning the MacBook can hold entire media libraries in memory while the Dell struggles with a few Chrome tabs.
- Display quality is night and day: 3024px resolution and 1600 nits brightness on the MacBook vs 1920px and 220 nits on the Dell, so outdoor use or color-critical work is basically impossible on the Latitude.
- Real-world sentiment backs the specs: MacBook owners consistently praise its smooth handling of heavy photo and video editing with no significant gripes, while the Dell's 4.1 rating from just 4 reviews suggests a solid but unremarkable workhorse.
- Price gap is massive: around $3,099 for the MacBook vs $430 for the Dell, so you're paying roughly 7x more for performance that's 7-11x better, which is actually a weirdly fair trade if you need the power.
