ASUS TUF Gaming 16" i7-14650HX Black
MSI Vector 16" VECTOR16HXA2400 Cosmo Gray 2025
The ASUS TUF makes sense if you need massive local storage and RAM for productivity work, and you're fine trading away serious GPU horsepower to get it.
Grab the MSI if you want top-tier gaming and creative performance without paying flagship money, and you don't mind some fan noise and a chunky chassis.
Key Differences
- The MSI's RTX 5080 scores 35,666 on GPU benchmarks vs 16,770 for the ASUS's RTX 5060, so you're looking at more than double the graphics performance.
- CPU is no contest either: the MSI's Core Ultra 9 275HX hits 55,815 multi-core vs 33,594 for the i7-14650HX, with 24 cores against 16.
- The ASUS packs 64GB RAM and a 4TB SSD, while the MSI ships with just 16GB and 1TB, so the TUF is ready for heavy multitasking and huge file libraries right away.
- MSI owners consistently praise the 240Hz QHD+ display and overall value, but the loud fans at idle are a real annoyance that keeps coming up in reviews.
- The ASUS has Wi-Fi 6E and a slightly higher base clock, but those are small wins next to the MSI's massive lead in raw compute power.
